DENVER (KDVR) -- With allergy season in full swing, you may notice harsher than usual allergy symptoms.Experts say snow melt from this spring helped amp up allergies, and recent rainy weather could be aggravating symptoms as well. Firefighters working to extinguish storage facility in Miami Gardens

Fire crews responded to a Miami Gardens public storage facility after a light fire turned into a chaotic blaze.According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, multiple units with the Miami-Dade Fire Department responded to the scene at 3505 N.W. 167th St., near 37th Avenue and the Palmetto Expressway, around 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.When crews arrived, they immediately worked to attack the fire as they found a light haze and flames behind the facility. Video footage from 7SkyForce captured the massive clouds of smoke coming from the blaze. Several units in the building burned and triggered more flames within the facility.Around 7:30 a.m., officials declared the fire a Second Alarm as crews on the scene needed additional manpower. More than 30 units were on the scene as they worked to stop the blaze from multiple angles. Rescue crews responded to an area in Davie after reports of a submerged car near a business center.Officials said Davie Fire Rescue arrived at New Town Commerce Center, located near Southwest 47th Avenue, where they found one person outside of the submerged vehicle, Tuesday.Fire rescue divers are now actively working on searching for the car and a possible second person inside the water.Please check back on WSVN.com and 7News for more details on this developing story.

Wranglers capture runaway cow on I-75 in Oakland County

OAKLAND COUNTY, Michigan (WWJ) — It was an eventful Sunday afternoon on I-75 in Holly as a runaway cow managed to get on the freeway.According to Michigan State Police, troopers responded to a traffic control request around 2:50 p.m. Sunday along I-75 near Belford Road as a group attempted to wrangle a cow that was stuck in a gravel put on Belford Road.A group of wranglers on horses and four-wheelers on the shoulder of I-75 attempted to capture the cow, but the bovine outsmarted them and ran across the northbound lanes of I-75.Troopers shut down the northbound and southbound lanes for safety.The group eventually captured and removed the cow from the freeway.MSP says the cow is now back in the pasture.

Police: Sex offender threatened couple with golf club at Hynes Station for refusing request for money

Mass. father, son sentenced for decadelong, $20 million lottery fraud scheme

BOSTON (AP) — A father and son from Massachusetts have both been sent to prison for running an elaborate lottery fraud scheme designed to enrich themselves and help prize winners avoid paying taxes on their windfall, prosecutors said.Ali Jaafar, 63, and Yousef Jaafar, 29, both of Watertown, cashed in 14,000 winning lottery tickets over a roughly 10-year period, laundered more than $20 million in proceeds, and then lied on their tax returns to cheat the IRS out of about $6 million, the U.S. attorney’s office in Boston announced Monday.The Jaafars purchased winning lottery tickets at a discount from people who wanted to avoid identification by the state lottery commission, which withholds taxes and outstanding child support payments from payouts.After purchasing the tickets, using the stores that sold them as go-betweens, the Jaafars claimed the full prize amount.
