Bands wanted for upcoming Gloversville events

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. (NEWS10) — The Gloversville Recreation Commission is looking for a few bands to perform at some of the area's biggest events this summer. Among them are the Southern Adirondack Wine and Food Festival, on June 3, the Gloversville Railfest, slated for August 12, and the Bacon and Brew Fest, set for September 16. "Please message us if you are interested in performing," a spokesperson for the commission said in an online statement. "Thank you to all the solo and duos who have reached out already."Interested bands may attend a commission meeting for more information. The commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the Employee Lounge at City Hall.

EPA orders Ameren Missouri to submit water contamination cleanup study by June 30

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. -  The EPA orders Ameren Missouri to submit a plan for cleaning up wastewater contamination in St. Charles.Six of the city's wells were shut down because of the contamination. The EPA says that Ameren must pay for the cleanup. Trending: Black bear and elk hunting seasons set in Missouri A report on cleanup options is due by June 30. St. Charles City plans to sue Ameren Missouri to cover the cost of the cleanup.

Driver flees after crash in midtown, St. Louis

ST. LOUIS - Police are searching for the driver of a vehicle that crashed in midtown, St. Louis.FOX 2's Nissan Rogue Runner reporter Nic Lopez was at the scene, where this red Hyundai Sonata crashed into a tree near Grand Center. This was near the corner of Delmar Boulevard and Vandeventer Avenue. Third teenage boy arrested in killing of Lake St. Louis girl No word if police have any leads. Cool breezy days with mostly sunny skies Friday are expected to carry metro Denver through winter’s last weekend with possible light snow in the Front Range foothills Friday.National Weather Service forecasters said the high temperature in metro Denver will hit 40 degrees Friday, increasing to 43 degrees Saturday and possibly exceeding 50 degrees Sunday.Wind blowing at 7 to 14 miles per hour will bring gusts at up to 22 mph.In the mountains south of Interstate 70, snow may fall in some areas such as South Park, with less than an inch accumulating, according to the weather service. Road conditions in the mountains were improving. Colorado’s eastern high plains are expected to be dry with temperatures below normal in the 30s and low 40s.Light snow will gradually diminish across the Front Range foothills. Coloradans may soon be able to fill prescriptions via a video screen and a pre-loaded dispensing machine, thanks to a bipartisan bill that sailed through the House earlier this month.Just don’t call them vending machines.“We call them automated kiosks, rather than vending machines,” said Amy Gutierrez, the chief pharmacy officer for UCHealth. She was the president of California’s pharmacy board when that state signed off on the kiosks several years ago. “From a professional standpoint, they’re connected to a pharmacist.”Pitched as a way to improve access to medications at odd hours and in underserved areas, HB23-1195 would allow these kiosks to open across Colorado.
